How can we help?
Transitions in life are never easy and it’s completely ok to not feel ok.
We offer a range of services within schools and at our Therapy Suite, to support young people with their mental health.
Education
Our Wellbeing Facilitators work within secondary and primary schools, with children as young as 8 years old, educating students about mental health through classroom-based sessions and assemblies.
Listening Service
Within secondary schools we offer a confidential low level 1-to-1 listening service in which our Wellbeing Practitioners help students to manage their feelings with concerns such as exam pressure, friendship worries, bullying, social media difficulties and low self-esteem.
Therapeutic Support
For those that require a higher-level of support we have a team of experienced and qualified therapeutic professionals that can offer a broad range of psychological therapy, from our Therapy Suite.
Accessing our service
Our Listening Service is confidential, within the parameters of safeguarding policies of the individual schools and our governance board, and offers a private space for you to talk about what’s worrying you whether that be school, relationships, friendships, exam stress or anything else you’d like to talk to someone about.
Looking after your own wellbeing
It can be worrying when you, or someone you care about, is experiencing a difficult time. Here is some useful information and advice to look after and support your mental health and wellbeing.
We know looking after children and young people isn’t always easy.
Primary schools
We engage with parents and carers to educate on how they can facilitate conversations with their children about mental health and wellbeing, and create a supportive home environment.
Secondary schools
We help parents and carers to understand some of the common issues that young people face, and what they can do to support them.
How we can help
We offer regular ‘drop ins’ at our Centres in Douglas and Castletown, where you can come along and informally chat to members of our schools and therapeutic teams about any worries, concerns or unanswered questions you might have about a young person’s mental health and wellbeing.
