Isle Listen and Manx Care agree contract for new single point of access service called ‘Talk’
March 18, 2025
News Announcement
Isle Listen has agreed a contract with Manx Care to create a new single point of access service called ‘Talk’, for under 18s requiring mental health support on the Isle of Man.
When it launches, the service will provide a simple referral route for new clients requiring mental health support to be assessed and signposted to the most relevant service for their needs. The main aims of this service are that young people will be seen in a timely fashion, and the waiting times for CAMHS referrals will decrease.
It is important to note that whilst we have received funding for this service, Isle Listen still relies heavily on funding for therapeutic services for 18-25 year olds, as well as our core mission of providing a preventative education programme across the Island’s schools, delivering to just over 10,000 young people per year. The annual costs for these services are in excess of £1m.
Further details of the Talk service will be released in due course.
