A staggering 1,337 young people referred to our service in 2022
February 13, 2023
As we approach the end of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week, that doesn’t mean we stop highlighting the importance of children’s and young people’s mental health.
Sadly, our incredible team continues to see a rise in the number of young people needing help and support with their mental health and wellbeing and in 2022, we received a staggering 1,337 referrals of children and young people for one-to-one support.
Supporting and equipping young people to effectively manage their mental health is at the heart of what we do, and we firmly believe that our passionate team of professionals is helping to avoid the unnecessary escalation of mental health issues. They are also helping to avoid children and young people having to wait long times for unnecessary access to statutory services.
Mental health early intervention and prevention from an early age is a key part to helping our young people, and currently, our support and services in schools aren’t funded by Government. Each year we rely on our army of incredible fundraisers and supporters to be able to continue our support and services.
We can’t thank you enough as quite simply, YOUR support makes OUR support possible!
