We are open Monday to Friday between 9.00am – 5.00pm. Isle Listen is not a crisis service and only offers planned interventions. Should you or someone you know be in need of immediate support outside of our office hours you should contact Manx Care’s 24 hour Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team on 01624 642860 or the Emergency Services on 999.

Christian Varley, Heidi Dalgleish, Brett Clarke and Rebecca Macnair have recently joined our charity working within both of our charitable initiatives – Minds Matter and Isle Listen, and are already making a significant impact as part of our amazing team and our work in schools, the workplace and wider community!

Christian has joined us as a Trainee Wellbeing Practitioner, supporting young people in our Island’s secondary schools through 1-to-1 listening sessions. These sessions are a confidential space for young people to talk to someone about what might be worrying them, whether that be school, relationships, friendships, exam stress or anything else they’d like to talk to someone about. Christian says: “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to be involved with the Isle Listen team and to be part of the fantastic early intervention support they’re providing on the Island. I know I’m going to learn so much and I’m excited to be able to contribute to making a positive impact on young people’s lives”.

Heidi has joined us as Head of People and Development and is responsible for our very popular workplace mental health and wellbeing training, and is working with local employers and their workforce to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and resources to recognise the early signs of mental health episodes. She’s also looking after our own team from an HR perspective. Heidi told us “I am delighted to have joined the charity having known some of the team for a few years, coupled with my current qualification journey to become a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist and my experience in HR & Development, it feels like the perfect combination to help support and be part of this fab charity who do so much for the local community”.

Brett is playing a crucial role in providing operational support in the day-to-day running of the charity. Brett is usually the first person someone who uses our service sees when they arrive at our Centre and he does a great job at welcoming them and putting them at ease. Brett says: “I am very proud to have recently joined in an operational support role and am looking forward to working with such an amazing team and fantastic charity”.

Rebecca only joined us as recently as Monday, and will be helping with our Community and Corporate Engagement. Rebecca is helping to ensure the sustainability of the work we do by working with our fantastic local supporters and their fundraising efforts, which help us to continue our vital work. Rebecca told us “I am excited to start working with Isle Listen and Minds Matter, and our fantastic supporters. I’ve seen the incredible work that the charity does in our schools, both through one-to-one work with students and wider education around mental health, and was excited for the opportunity to do more to support the team in doing this vital work. I am looking forward to developing relationships with our partners throughout the community, working with our inspirational fundraisers and finding new ways for people to get involved with supporting us”.
