Isle Listen launches major prize draw to win a Dream Holiday as holiday bookings for summer 2022 increase

July 9, 2021

Isle Listen, in collaboration with local travel agent Antony Guy Travel Counsellors, has launched a major prize draw to win £6,000 towards a dream holiday and £1,000 spending money (for travel any time before 31 December 2022), as the UK Government begins to ease international travel restrictions and the continuing success of the vaccination programs in both the Isle of Man and UK.

Earlier this year, Isle Listen ran a hugely successful Isle of Man staycation prize draw which helped to raise essential income to enable the charitable initiative to continue its vital mental health early intervention support and training in the Island’s schools, the workplace and community.

Commenting on the launch of the prize draw, Isle Listen Chief Executive Andrea Chambers said, “Our charity can trace its roots back over 35 years to Manx Cancer Help and The Lisa Lowe Centre, and like so many charities over the past year, we have never experienced such immense pressure on our fundraising abilities by not being able to hold fundraising events. As we emerge from a period of great uncertainty where many of us have experienced a mental health problem or seen a loved one struggle, we wanted to be innovative by putting together a prize draw that not only bolsters our fundraising but gives people the opportunity to create positive memories through the holiday of a lifetime.”

The collaboration with Antony Guy Travel Counsellors was a natural choice for Isle Listen as the Guy family are regular supporters of the charitable initiative through their numerous fundraising efforts. Antony Guy of Antony Guy Travel Counsellors said, “We have seen a noticeable rise in both corporate and individuals booking ahead for 2022 as they expect by then, the coronavirus pandemic to be under control. As a family, we wholeheartedly support the importance of the work that Isle Listen does in schools, the workplace and community, to drive transformational change to positive mental health and wellbeing. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with them to put together this amazing prize draw whilst also helping them to generate vital funds so they can continue their work.”

Andrea Chambers, Isle Listen Chief Executive added, “We could not continue to do what we do without the amazing support of our Island community, and I hope that as many people as possible will want to get involved by entering the draw and helping us to continue our work to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health. And I wish everyone that enters the very best of luck!”
